Why am I putting my stories on the Web?? I would
like today's younger generation, like my clever little
grandson, Clark, to know what my part of the world
was like 75 years ago. There was no T.V. or phones,
no electric power, no highways or cars, and no
pollution!
The main transportation was by teams of horses and wagons. The rest of us walked
everywhere and many lived to a ripe old age. The food we ate was healthy, with no
additives or preservatives. The air was fresh and clean and wild animals lived in their
natural surroundings. Mother Nature looked after everything, and did quite nicely
without all the help she gets from people today.
By traveling through my site, "Baba's Memories" (BABA means
Grandma in Ukr.), you will experience first hand, life
on the northern Alberta prairies, as lived by my family and neighbors, in the early
pioneer years. There are also many pictures of re-created miniature buildings that
I have built, to help relay the feeling of my era.
Take your time going through the site and feel free to tell your friends about it too.
I hope you enjoy this journey into the previous 75 years of my memories.
Please sign my guestbook to let me know you were here
Sincerely yours,
Mini Baba.
